Ngo Tam Beach City NGT01

For a limited time we are offering high quality reproductions of internationally renowned Vietnam artist Ngo Tam (see Ngo Tam's bio here) oil on canvas paintings at a fraction of the cost of the signed originals, which reside in our personal collection.

This is a limited run of only 200. We want to share the joy of owning this beautiful painting, while preserving it's uniqueness and inherent value. Once we've reached the end of this limited run we'll close production forever.

Each Beach City 01 print measures 34" x 27" (W x H, same as the original) and is reproduced from a high resolution, professionally produced scan of the original. Prints are generated on the highest quality of paper (a wide selection of mediums are available) using commercial-grade inkjet printers specifically intended for the re-creation of fine art.

To preserve value, the reverse side of each print is stamped with our company insignia, serialized with it's own individual sequence number (numbered 1 - 200), signed by us and accompanied with a certificate of authenticity confirming the piece as a reproduction of the signed work originally painted by Ngo Tam.

This offering provides you with a beautiful piece of framable art that is remarkably close in sheer beauty to the original, but at a fraction of the cost. Ngo Tam's pieces of this size and style are typically valued in the thousands of dollars.

All print mediums, with the exception of Fine Art Watercolor, are shipped rolled in a crush-proof tube. Fine Art Watercolor is shipped flat in protective packaging.

About our prints

Our prints are collectible quality Giclée prints, produced on the Epson 11880 inkjet printer, the 64" version of it's latest line of large format inkjet printers, the 880 series.

This machine sets the standard for fine art digital printing with a new higher resolution print head coupled with the exceptional quality of Epson Utlrachrome inks.

What is a Giclée Print?

The term Giclée (pronounced "Zhee-clay") Print refers to fine art reprodutions made with museum quality materials using a professional large-format ink-jet printer. During the printing process, a series of tiny spray nozzles emits millions of droplets per second. Because of the way the drops are sprayed and mixed using a 9 color pigmented ink system, you get a wider range of color than almost any other type of print available on the market.

What is the process in making a print?

First the original painting is scanned or digitally photographed to produce a very high resolution file. Then a proof is made and matched against the original.

What does "museum quality" mean?

Museum quality means the materials used are archival--that is, fade resistant, acid-free, and long-lasting. The inks used are pigment-based as opposed to dye-based, which makes them archival. It's important that the inks and paper or canvas used to make the print adhere to these standards. Ours do.

What is the value of a "limited edition?"

There is no limit to the number of Giclée prints that could potentially be made from an original piece of art. By limiting an edition to a specific number (ours are limited to 200 of each original), the value of these prints increases because once the limit is reached, no more will be made.

What is the difference between a Giclée print and other reproductions?

Mass market reproductions, such as posters, made with off-set printing are not museum quality, and are not archival or long-lasting. They are made in print runs of hundreds to thousands, with low-cost materials, and that's why they are so inexpensive to purchase.
