VN Lacquerware Room Divider/Screen

Our flagship lacquer product, this beautiful 6 panel room divider is truly a stunning piece of art in it's own right as well as being a functional room seperator, dressing screen or backdrop.

Each screen consists of 6 panels measuring 15 3/4" (W) x 71" (H) x 3/4" (Thick) connected with high quality brass hinges. Folds together at each hingepoint for easy maneuverability as well as altering the configuration to meet different design settings.

This divider is also very unique as it has two completely different scenes on either side; The first is a four seasons, mother of pearl on black lacquer; The opposite side is a wonderful cranes scene set on a blended black and red mist lacquer.

The incredible work going into these pieces is apparent in the results. At the factory the pattern is carved in wood, after which pieces of shell are cut and glued in. Hours of sanding and a layered lacquer finish produce an absolutely breathtaking work of beauty.
